This National Standard establishes minimum requirements for beach operators that offer services to beach users. It provides requirements for both beach operators and users regarding the following:

a) beach management;
b) beach operations and planning;
c) beach maintenance and waste removal;
d) beach safety, information and communication;
e) infrastructure; and
f) service provision.
