On Tuesday June 5th 2018, the Implementation Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS) in collaboration with Perfection Services Limited (PSL) hosted a Stakeholder Awareness Session on “Competence of Inspection Bodies: Making Trinidad and Tobago Safer”, at Premier Quality Services Limited, Macoya. This stakeholder awareness session is one of a number of activities hosted by TTBS leading up to the National Quality and Accreditation Conference in September 2018, which will celebrate the theme of “Delivering a Safer World”
This session built on awareness; promoted the value, benefits and accomplishments of the application of accredited inspection services, namely to ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – Conformity Assessment – Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspections standard. This Standard contains general, structural, resource, process and management system requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistency of bodies performing inspection activities and its objective is to promote confidence and improve the credibility of decisions made by these inspection bodies.
