Scope:<\/p>\n

This National Standard specifies the minimum requirements for hotels and guesthouses operating in Trinidad and Tobago. This standard includes requirements for:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0guest facilities;<\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0public areas;<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0food and beverage preparation and service area;<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0staff break areas; and<\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0safety and security.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This standard does not apply to:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \u00a0bed and breakfast establishments;<\/li>\n
    2. \u00a0self-catering units;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. \u00a0private residences or apartments rented for periods exceeding one month;<\/li>\n
