The two Officers were part of a Caribbean contingent tasked with investigating and implementing a regional system for energy efficiency labelling and testing. The visit to Intertek was to observe procedures used in sampling, inspection and testing used for electrical appliances with specific emphasis on lighting, refrigerators and air-condition units. The visit included presentations on topics including: Energy Efficiency Programs and labelling Practices, Managing a Lab and its Customers and Marketing. There were also tours of the various laboratories.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Energy Efficiency Project is led by the Caribbean Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ), in which the TTBS has an active role.
