the International Organization for Standardization\u2019s Technical Committee TC 309 initiated the development of a new International Standard to assist organizations to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increase organizational effectiveness, sustainability, accountability and fairness<\/li>\n<li>Fulfil the organization\u2019s purpose and reflect on its identity and mission and how value is generated and delivered to stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Avoid major incidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Who is responsible?<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ISO\/TC 309 Governance of Organizations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The development of the new International Standard is being done by ISO\u2019s Technical Committee TC 309.<\/p>\n<p>Click here learn more about here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the end of May 2020, ISO\/TC309 has <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/committee\/6266703.html?view=participation\">54 Participating member countries, 22 Observing member countries<\/a>,<\/span> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/committee\/6266703.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">23 Liaison Organizations<\/span>.<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ISO\/TC 309 WG 1 <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ISO\/TC 309 established a Working Group 1 (WG 1) to develop the content of the ISO DIS 37000.<\/p>\n<p>The WG 1 Co-Convenors nominated by BSI (UK) and TTBS and voted in by TC309 members are Dr Victoria Hurth and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/syntegrachange.com\">Dr Axel Kravatzky<\/a><\/span> respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The for ISO TC 309<\/strong><br \/>\nA National Mirror Committee (NMC) is a voluntary advisory committee established for the purpose of providing inputs into the development of standards and standards-related documents at the international level with a view to shaping the final documents to facilitate their use or adoption at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>The TTBS\u2019 National Mirror Committee is chaired by Dr Axel Kravatzky.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Scope of the Draft International Standard (ISO DIS 37000)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>This document gives guidelines for the governance of organizations.&nbsp;It provides key principles, relevant practices and a framework to guide governing bodies&nbsp;on&nbsp;how to meet their responsibilities so that organizations can fulfil their purpose.<\/p>\n<p>It is applicable to all&nbsp;organizations,&nbsp;regardless of type, size, location, structure or purpose.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Key benefits of ISO DIS 37000<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>The primary purpose of \u201cgood governance\u201d is to promote sound decision-making by leaders on behalf and for the
