Doodnath Singh, currently serving as a Standards Officer and Lab Manager at the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS), brings a wealth of expertise and experience in the fields of electrical engineering, laboratory management, and quality assurance. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Utilities Engineering (Hons.), specializing in Electrical Engineering, and a Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technology and certificate in Project Management, Doodnath has a solid educational foundation to complement his professional endeavors.


In his role at TTBS, Doodnath has been instrumental in managing operational activities within the Electrical Products and Energy Efficiency Lighting Laboratory. He has conducted extensive research and development in new testing areas within the laboratories, ensuring TTBS remains at the forefront of innovation and technological advancement in electrical testing and quality assurance.


Doodnath contributions to TTBS go beyond laboratory management, as he has also taken on project management responsibilities for various initiatives, including the establishment of testing facilities for lighting products, electric cables and high-voltage personal protective equipment (PPE). His leadership and project coordination skills have been instrumental in the successful execution of these projects, contributing to the advancement of quality infrastructure and energy efficiency standards in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean region.


Mr. Singh dedication to his field is evident in his involvement in technical specification committees for national and regional electrical standards, as well as his membership in the Energy Management Committee at TTBS. He consistently seeks opportunities to contribute his expertise to the advancement of quality assurance practices and standards development, making him a valuable asset to the TTBS team and the wider community.
