Saira Knox of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS), Metrology Division, participated in a recent workshop held at the Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Industrial (INTI) in Argentina on September 16th – 18th 2018.

The aim of the workshop was to update participants on the background knowledge of mycotoxins and its measurements metrological traceability issues.

The highlight of the workshop was the technical knowledge sharing of experts from Science and Technology, Regional and National Metrology Institutes, Regulatory Bodies, Academia, participants from the Bureau International des Poids et Measures capacity building and knowledge training programmes, and experts from the Inter-American Metrology System (SIM).
Learnings from the workshop will allow The National Metrology Institute of Trinidad and Tobago, TTBS, to improve guidance of laboratory practices in metrological traceability and quality assurance concepts of mycotoxins measurements.
